About Dr. Yu

Dr. Alexandra ("Alea") Yu is a licensed Doctor of Audiology and the founder of Yu Audiology — an independent audiology practice. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and has been board certified since 2019.

Before opening her own practice, Dr. Yu built her clinical experience across private practices, Ear, Nose & Throat groups, and hospital systems. She founded Yu Audiology with one goal: a practice where patients leave with a genuine understanding of their hearing and their options — never feeling rushed.

Also at this location: Kamil Ear, Nose, and Throat — allowing for coordinated care when patients need both audiological and medical management.

A little about me

I've always appreciated the sounds that fill daily life — my Dad listening to classical music (albeit too loud), cooking in the kitchen with my husband, a favorite show in the background. And whenever my husband and I get the chance, traveling somewhere new together. Those sounds aren't just noise. They're how we stay connected to the people we love.
